Job Summary:
The Senior Director of Digital Media leads a team of digital media specialists, driving strategy and operational excellences for the portfolio of Milestone’s clients.  The Senior Director leads the digital media team in the development and implementation of traffic- and revenue-generating holistic media strategies in accordance with client objectives across Paid Search, Display, Paid Social, and Meta channels.  Proven team leadership and excellence in delivering quality campaign management is essential.  Ideal candidate will have heavy experience in Paid Search, Display Advertising, and Paid Social channels, carries extensive experience working with various Digital Media Big Management platforms, and has experience scaling the Digital Media business using technology.  The Senior Director reports into the VP of Search.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages team of Media Strategists, Media Planner, Ad Operations Manager, and offshore Ad Operations team
  • Provide strategic direction for portfolio of all Paid Media clients in the hospitality vertical
  • Responsible for growth, management, retention and satisfaction of paid media clients
  • Scales Digital Media business with the help of technology and automation
  • Oversees process development and execution management
  • Assures quality control of all media planning and implementation
  • Develops, enforces and evolves paid media Best Practices through testing and thought-leadership
  • Lead team in delivering actionable insights based on campaign analysis and market trend monitoring
  • Holds team members accountable for operational excellence and delivering to client goals on all assigned accounts
  • Develops, manages, and monitors client service delivery executions of the assigned accounts
  • Evaluates vendors and new media opportunities
  • Oversee the relationships with media vendor partners in the creation, execution, and optimization of local and national media campaigns
  • Leads the development and documentation of department process best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the group
  • Interface as needed with executive level and middle management level on client side during meetings and presentations
  • Embraces and encourages a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving mindset
  • Motivates, leads, and manages team, working collaboratively to drive programs that meet clients’ performance and business objectives
  • Drives adoption of stated best practices through example setting, positive reinforcement and behavioral correction
  • Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing, and evaluating team members
  • Conducts performance reviews and career path plans for direct reports
  • Identify digital media trends and understand new technologies and align these with business objectives to create new and innovative marketing opportunities and solutions
  • Provide training in cross media planning to their direct reports and fellow teams
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Analytics, Product, Onboarding, Sales) to advance Milestone products and services to meet client needs
  • Understands and explains the features and benefits of all Milestone products and services
  • Support other CS team leads with cross sells of products and services to grow share of marketing spend
  • Exceeds annual revenue targets
  • Supports business development sales in selling media solutions as appropriate

Key Skills Set:

  • BA from an accredited college or university
  • 10+ yrs experience in Digital Media – must have Search and Display advertising, and/or Paid Social marketing, with hands on campaign management and optimization experience
  • Extensive experience managing and scaling paid search business is a must
  • Extensive experience using various digital media bid management platform to manage large-scale clients is a must
  • Hotel/hospitality marketing experience is a plus
  • Fast learner and able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Innovative thinker, collaborative team player, and strong communicator
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision within a team environment
  • Knowledge of and experience in social media marketing (SMM) including: blogging, Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, and more
  • Experience in search engine optimization (SEO), keyword analysis, etc. a plus
  • Knowledge of social media and analytics software (Hootsuite, Google Analytics, etc) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of user-generated content management, content marketing, and semantic search is a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) speaker a plus
