Solution Consultant


The Role

The solution consultant plays a critical role to ensure that customer's expected business outcomes and deliverables are met. S/he plays is an integral part of the entire customer success life cycle, acting as a solution expert working in close alignment with sales, onboarding teams, customer success managers and support teams. Hence the work done by the solution consultant impacts the ultimate success of Milestone’s customers, including customer onboarding, project success, retention, and account growth. The Solution Consultant’s primary function is to understand customer’s requirements along with environmental factors and match it to Milestone’s capabilities leading to a solution that meets their expected business outcomes and deliverables


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage with Milestone’s existing and prospective customers and help them adopt Milestone’s products and solutions to meet their business requirements

  • Show case product and solution concepts via presentations, demos, customer evangelization and effective documentation to help customer’s visualize possible solutions

  • Lead discovery sessions with customer teams to understand the client's business objectives, expected business outcomes, customer’s technical environment and system/application needs

  • With excellent understanding of Milestone’s product features and related technologies, design the solution/strategies that best meets the client's requirements. Leverage internal subject matter experts as required

  • Work with internal delivery teams to ensure that the solution/strategies are executed and meets customer’s objectives

  • Lead or work with other customer success teams to ensure successful completion of project milestones for production Go-live, UAT sign-off and the initial rollout phase of the project  

  • Lead client training and awareness sessions

  • Support clients through go-live process and play key role in promoting solution adoption and usage

  • Communicate progress and expectations, escalates problems for awareness and resolution

  • Proactively create documentary artifacts like business cases, usage scenarios, solution blue prints, FAQs, meeting notes...etc.

  • Provide regular and adequate end user feedback to the product team

  • Create opportunities to up-selling Milestone’s offerings


Required Skills/Experience

  • 7+ years experience in consulting that include business case development, strong business/technical analysis skills, process mapping, and business process and solution design

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role such as digital marketing consultant, solution consultant, solution analyst, business analyst, business consultant, presale consultant or solution architect

  • Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management and support  

  • Deep knowledge of website development, APIs, search technologies, digital marketing strategies such as SEO, Google Ads, PPC, Social media is required

  • Ability to set and manage customer expectations and work independently on project assignments

  • Must be able to manage multiple projects utilizing strong planning and organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build effective customer relationships  

  • Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills to demonstrate strategies and solution concepts

  • Analytical nature with the ability to solve complex business issues

  • A ‘can do’ attitude to be able to work within existing constraints and come up with innovative ideas that may not be obvious or apparent

  • A technical or business degree  


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Background

  • Enterprise-level business project experience

  • Experience working for digital marketing agencies  

  • Highly energetic, with a passion for helping customers  

  • Can do attitude with willingness to 'roll up sleeves' and do whatever it takes to achieve desired results
